Laura’s practice focuses on business and civil litigation, with an emphasis on representing creditors and real estate investors. She has been recognized by her peers in the 2017 – 2019 editions of Florida Trend’s “Legal Elite,” awarded to the top 2 percent of practicing attorneys in the state, for her accomplishments in her real estate practice.
Laura began her career as an Assistant Public Defender for the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Orlando, Florida. Thereafter she started her own practice primarily handling residential and commercial real estate transactions, corporate transactions, and business entity formation.
In 2008, Laura increased her focus in real estate law when she joined a creditor’s right firm as a lead trial attorney representing financial institutions in all stages of mortgage foreclosure actions. Laura also served in the firm’s Title Curative Department where she represented financial institutions on a variety of title related issues. She has also represented community associations in a variety of litigation matters, including payoff disputes, lien foreclosures, declaratory judgment actions, and third party claims.
Among the professional groups in which Laura has held memberships are the Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar, Condominium & Planned Development Committee, Landlord/Tenant Committee, Orange County Bar Association, and American Bar Association.
